This means that the camera feed, programme feedback, timecode, reference, tally, command network and control are all carried over a single cable. You have the same advantages as with SMPTE fibre. However, 10G copper Ethernet cable is much cheaper. The Blackmagic Studio Converter allows you to separate the video, audio and command network connections in the studio. Since the Ethernet cable provides power to the camera, you don't even need a power source near the camera.
